World of Work Transition Services ProgramThe Madison County School System provides career training that benefits both students and the community. This program serves as a natural bridge between high school and adult life by involving students with physical, learning, or intellectual disabilities within the business setting. Training through work-based learning is a nonpaid internship to prepare students for competitive employment. This program serves high school students ages 15-21. Hawk Enterprises supports the World of Work (WOW) Program which is a work-based learning program that provides students of Madison County School System with unpaid internship opportunities within the school day. Students participating in this program gain valuable interpersonal and professional skills to transition them from school-to-work. Those eligible for the program, achieve rewarding career-based learning within the local community. This allows them to experience success and gain self-confidence needed to move forward into adulthood.
Huntsville Police Department’s Shop-With-A-CopHawk Enterprises supports the Huntsville Police Department’s Shop-With-A-Cop program which has brought holiday cheer to local disadvantaged youth throughout Madison County for over 15 years. Law enforcement officers volunteer their time and shopping skills to assist individuals with a $250 shopping spree during the holiday season. Kids are able to purchase winter clothes, shoes, toys and gifts. The program has also been extended to include a Back-to-School shopping spree as well. It is a great program that bonds the department with the community and we are honored to be a supporter.
MDA Lock-UpHawk Enterprises is a proud supporter of MDA Lock-Up. This event is a fun and inspiring way to bring our community together to raise funds and awareness to help kids and adults break free from the harm of muscle-debilitating diseases. Business leaders join forces with MDA by agreeing to be “locked up” while they raise money for their “bail,” which helps bring more everyday freedoms to kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related diseases that take away physical strength and mobility.
Hawk 5k run/walkHawk is also the proud host of the annual Hawk 5k run/walk. This event, held in beautiful downtown Huntsville in the fall, has helped support programs such as the Wounded Warrior Project and other local charity organizations within our community. It is always our goal to aid our community in any way that we can and give back to those who are in need. We look forward to bringing back this event in the near future.
AAAAHawk has supported the local Army Aviation Association of America’s scholarship fund for the past 15 years.
