This course provides the student with a solid understanding of helicopter vibrations and the equipment used in vibration analysis, trouble-shooting, identifying sources of vibrations, and resolving vibration anomalies.
Instruction is conducted on the equipment and aircraft available at the customer’s location. (Equipment must be calibrated & operational, and the latest script file should be on hand). Target audience is prop and rotor technicians, crew chiefs, flight engineers, maintenance managers, and test pilots.

COURSE LENGTH: 1 Week
COURSE SIZE: Optimum 8 / Maximum 10 students

Sources of vibrations
Causes of vibration
Controls used in reducing vibrations
Equipment used in vibration analysis
Oil cooler vibration check and balance
Engine high speed shaft vibration check and balancing
Tail Rotor balancing
Main Rotor ground track and balance
Vibration absorber check and tuning
Spectrum analysis
